Abstract
A new species Martinothyris pseudolineatus (Spiriferida) is described from the Upper Famennian (Khoshyeilagh Formation) of the Siaheh Mountain, northeastern Iran. The first appearance and ways of dispersal of representatives of the genus Martinothyris Minato, 1953 are considered.
